Bang & Olufsen's Southeast Asia Director visited Ho Chi Minh City for an exclusive event celebrating the Ferrari Collection. The showroom, a testament to the alliance of audio excellence and automotive artistry, featured a striking juxtaposition: vibrant red Bang & Olufsen sound systems on one side, and the sleek silhouette of a Ferrari 296 GTS on the other.
Even before the roar of the first 2023 Formula One race, Italian passion for speed met Danish craftsmanship. Crossing the geographical distance between Maranello and Struer, the artisans at Bang & Olufsen embarked on a journey to create a collection as visually stunning as it is aurally captivating. Now, this very Ferrari Collection has travelled over 9,000 kilometers to reach Vietnam, unveiled during a special event hosted by Tam Son in late September.
Bringing together representatives from both the distributor and the brand itself, the event provided a platform for the Bang & Olufsen community, alongside enthusiasts of both sound and speed, to connect within a sprawling space brimming with interactive displays and immersive experiences.
Mr. Soren Kokholm, Managing Director of Bang & Olufsen Southeast Asia, captivated the audience with insightful and engaging narratives surrounding the unprecedented collaboration between the two iconic brands. His words painted a vivid picture of the collection’s signature red hue, the intricate journey of anodized aluminum, and the driving forces behind the Bang & Olufsen and Ferrari partnership.
This collaboration with automotive pioneer Ferrari sees Bang & Olufsen flexing its mastery in aluminum craftsmanship. The collection, a testament to the shared values of precision, power, and exhilaration, encompasses a range of headphones and speakers: the Beosound 2 home speaker, Beoplay H95 headphones, Beoplay EX earphones, and the Beosound Explore portable speaker. Each piece is united by a striking red hue, an unmistakable hallmark of the Ferrari brand.
This collection represents a deliberate “detour” from Bang & Olufsen’s usual design philosophy. As Christoffer Poulsen, Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Bang & Olufsen, explains:
Our classic speakers are meant to naturally blend in with people’s homes while also standing out for their beautiful design. This collection is different. They’re statement pieces. Much like supercars, they make themselves seen and heard everywhere they go.
Attendees were invited to delve into the story behind the creation of the Beosound Explore Ferrari Edition’s anodized aluminum shell. Six meticulously crafted prototypes, provided by Bang & Olufsen, showcased the intricate stages involved in achieving the speaker’s impeccable finish.
A highlight of the event was the striking juxtaposition of two engineering marvels: Bang & Olufsen’s most advanced loudspeaker, the Beolab 90, and the sleek Ferrari 296 GTS.
