THE FOUNDERS
Diptyque was founded in Paris by three friends: Desmond – a painter, Christiane – an architect and Yves – a theatre set designer. Diptyque is the French word for a twin paneled work of art that when opened reveals 2 paintings that complete each other and speak to each other.
INNOVATING CONSTANTLY
Since 1961, Diptyque has been constantly innovating, to offer truly surprising olfactory collections. In 1963, the first decorative scented candles were launched with original fragrances that are still to this day of absolutely incomparable quality, followed by innovative fragrance diffusers that combine the most advanced technology with the noblest traditional craftsmanship.
