HERMÈS PLEIN AIR – H TRIO COLLECTION

One year ago, Hermès Plein Air inaugurated a freedom-inspired approach to the complexion specific to the Hermès Beauty métier. The Plein Air natural enhancing complexion balm brought a whisper of colour and freshness to the complexion and revealed the true beauty of the skin. Today, Hermès Plein Air welcomes H Trio, two new powders as pure and light as air. This collection delivers a modern vision of a healthy glow, vibrant, radiant and free, for beauty in motion, carried by the elements.

HERMÈS PLEIN AIR – H TRIO COLLECTION 1

Gregoris Pyrpylis, creative director for Hermès Beauty, explains: “The H Trio powders are a continuation of the Plein Air collection that is imbued with a sense of movement, radiance, light and freedom. They reflect the strong bond between humans and nature – specifically with the sun, whose beautifying light and warmth illuminate not only the skin but also the mind; and with the earth and its thousand and one sensual shades that embellish the complexion in the most effortless way.”

H Trio healthy glow mineral powder

Like the caress of sunlight, this finely iridescent, semi-matte, pigmented powder brings natural warmth to the skin. The shape and contours of the face are enhanced without artifice. Depth is added progressively and the skin comes to life, revealed in a new light, subtly sun-kissed, radiant and vibrant with the sun’s energy.

H Trio iridescent mineral powder

This pure distillation of light melts into the skin to delicately illuminate its natural beauty. Its high concentration of mother-of-pearl creates a multifaceted iridescent finish. Light is perfectly diffused through this elegant prism of pink or coral hues, and the skin glows with a new, natural radiance.

Sheer sensations

These exceptionally silky powders are derived from technology that produces the softest and finest possible particles of powder, which become one with the skin for buildable intensity and long-lasting results. The healthy glow mineral powder also blurs imperfections and unifies the complexion for all skin types, even the most sensitive. Composed of 88% ingredients of natural origin, the formulas of both powders are designed to enhance natural beauty as well as care for the skin thanks to a hyaluronic acid derivative.

A subtle colour palette

The seven colour combinations in the mineral powders collection share a palette of shades inspired by brilliant sunlight and a multitude of earthy hues. The healthy glow powder is available in five colour combinations, each of which is composed of a trio of harmonious shades, to be used individually or blended. The iridescent powder is available in two colour combinations, each composed of a trio of complementary shades.

H Trio healthy glow mineral powder

01 Tottori: a light veil of colour that glides over the contours of the face in graduated shades of light and luminous beige, like the delicate contrasts of Japanese dunes.

02 Atlas: beige hues with a sunny glow evoking the Moroccan desert, a luminous palette to enhance the complexion.

03 Sahara: undulations of amber beige caressed by the Saharan wind, highlighting the complexion with sun-kissed shades.

04 Sienne: a harmony of browns, echoing scorched Tuscan earth and elevating the complexion with natural warmth.

05 Colorado: the contrasts and intensity of red-hot earth in the eponymous desert, fusing into radiant light.

01 Rose Atacama: the sand and rock of the Chilean desert illuminated by rare and unexpected blooms, captured in an iridescent palette with a rosy sheen.

02 Corail Mojave: a shimmering veil of light with coral hues, like a sunset over sandstone in the Californian desert.

An aesthetic and functional H

The surface of the powders is given depth with the house’s iconic H passant motif. This graphic, Art Deco-influenced signature, created in the mid-1920s for Hermès the saddler, has been reinterpreted over the years, its proportions subtly modified to keep it modern. The H is as functional as it is aesthetic and invites a multitude of application gestures for make-up ranging from the ultra-natural to the highly sophisticated.

An object of desire

The healthy glow mineral powder and iridescent mineral powder are both presented in a refillable powder compact. Designed by Pierre Hardy, designer of Hermès Beauty objects and creative director of Hermès shoes and jewellery, it resembles the compact for the Plein Air radiant powders with its brushed gold metal base and lacquered white lid featuring the ex-libris in gold-coloured permabrass. The opening mechanism has been updated, replacing the magnet with a discreet hook in an eco-responsible innovation that makes the object light and portable. As a healthy glow is achieved with a generous gesture, the compact has been enlarged to enable the powder to be collected on the brush with a broad, sweeping movement. The format also increases the powder’s lifespan.

The beauty of the gesture

Simplicity of gesture has guided the design of the Plein Air collection. The buildable mineral powders, essential tools for a successful make-up result, are applied intuitively.

“Applied with a generous gesture over the entire face, or with precision on key areas to enhance certain features, a sunkissed glow will always bring the complexion a touch of simplicity and sensuality while awakening the joyful memory of a day spent in an abundance of golden sunlight,” emphasises Gregoris Pyrpylis.

With an ample gesture, the brush combines the three shades into one, ready to be swept over the entire face, brightening it with the healthy glow powder or illuminating it with the iridescent powder. The generous format of the powder compact also allows it to be used on the body. Each shade can also be used on its own to sculpt the face’s contours or highlight certain zones, such as the eyelids. However, the powders are used, their finish is even and ethereal, leaving no powdery feel, only the radiant shimmer of their pigments on the skin.

Les Pinceaux Hermès

True objets d’art designed by Pierre Hardy, each Hermès Beauty brush is presented in one of the house’s signature orange boxes. They now form a collection in their own right, known as Les Pinceaux Hermès.

Le précis

Designed to sit perfectly in the hand and invite precise, buildable application of the iridescent mineral powders, this brush echoes the codes of the other brushes in the collection. Its wooden handle is lacquered in three colours and adorned with a soft pink ring. The ultra-soft natural goat hair fibres are hand-assembled by a French company specialising in brush-making since 1793. These supple bristles deposit a light, diffuse dusting of powder with a sweeping or precise gesture, while the rounded, tapered shape of the shorter bristles reach specific areas of the face.

Le voyageur

Its small size and durable, easy-to-clean synthetic fibres make this brush in white and gold-coloured brushed metal ideal for travel. It releases just the right amount of powder onto the skin for a sheer colour finish. Gliding over the contours of the face, its generous, angled shape is perfect for applying to all types of powder, whether to illuminate specific areas or for a more light diffusing result.

The seven refillable Hermès Plein Air H Trio objects and the two new additions to the Les Pinceaux Hermès collection will be available from March 2023 in selected retail outlets around the world.
